Here's one that I just bought last week. It's an old vintage cast-aluminum metal push scooter. Everything is cast aluminum but the stand, axles, rubber tires & handgrips. It has no markings on it at all except the grips say Flexgrip, so I do not know the maker or how old it is. I'm guessing it's 1950s or somewhat older? It's 32" long, 30" high, and has 5 1/2" O.D. solid rubber-tire wheels. It had been repainted on the red part, at some point in time, and I'm thinking of restoring the finish on it, but I'd like to know who made it & how old it is first. Any info would be much appreciated, Thanks!

So far I've found 3 of us that are looking for info on this model, but no info anywhere yet. I'll update my posting if I found out anything about the maker or year.

I too have one of these... I've had it for forty yrs. or so... Mine has a little bit of the original red paint on the front fin... All I really know is that these were VERY well made as they all seem to be unbroken and intact... I think they are much older than the 50s... I also feel they were owned by children of upper income families... These were not cheap to make with all of the casting involved... Regular scooters were simply pressed from flat steel and therefore cheap to manufacture... I can be reached at [email protected]
